Raising a baby beardie has its own unique challenges. Beardies love soft blankets, but you have to start with slow, careful interactions for the first few weeks while they are settling in. Begin by gently stroking the top of their head and down their back. Be patient, yet consistent. By carefully observing your beardie, you'll begin to understand when the time is right to gently hold them. Snuggling with your beardie will build trust and companionship. Watch for signs of stress or adverse reactions. Do not force the interactions.
Each Baby Beardie Blanket gift set includes four soft fleece blankets: 2 solid colors and 2 coordinating prints. You can choose a boy, girl, or neutral blanket set. (Keep in mind it's difficult to tell what sex your beardie is until they're a few months old.) These 10" square blankets are durable, inexpensive, and machine washable. If a blanket gets stained or needs to be thrown away, this set gives you more to choose from.
A small, colorful Party hat is part of this set, but you should wait until they’re about 1 year old before dressing your beardie in costumes. You will also receive is a copy of our published Beardie Care Guide, compiled by Sarah Southerland, owner of Sarah's Bearded Dragon Rescue.
We would love to have photos of your baby Beardie and their soft blankets. We’ll post them on our Pampered Beardies Facebook page and Instagram!

All beardies love soft blankets and the four blankets included in this gift set are made from soft fleece. The 2 solid color blankets and 2 coordinating print blankets are sorted for a male set, a female set, or unisex set. These 12" square blankets are durable, usable, inexpensive, and machine washable. They are not fancy, so that you can use them, wash them, and trash them when they are no longer useful.
Also included in this Juvenile Beardie Gift Set is a copy of our recently published Beardie Care Guide, compiled by Sarah Southerland, owner of Sarah's Bearded Dragon Rescue.
A colorful Party hat for the beardie is also in the set. We recommend that beardies not be dressed in costumes until they are about 1 year old. However, these hats are easily worn and delightful to look at.
When a Bearded Dragon reaches the 'teenage phase', around 5 to 12 months old, they become hormonal, grouchy, unmanageable and easily stressed. This is when Beardie owners decide they really don't want them. And it's becoming a huge problem in the reptile rescue world...what to do with unwanted Juvenile beardies!
We are adamant about....Adopt, don't Shop....when you are looking for a beardie to own. This 'teenage' season will subside and with patience, and gentle persuasion, you'll have a beardie that will steal your heart and soul.
Developing trust with a newly acquired juvenile beardie has its challenges. Slow and careful interactions for the first few weeks while the beardie is settling in, is appropriate. Do not force interactions between you and the beardie.
Start stroking the top of its head and down the back. Be patient, yet consistent. By carefully observing your beardie, you'll begin to understand when the time is right to gently hold them. Once accustomed to their new surroundings, they'll love to snuggle and by doing so, it will further build trust and companionship between you and them.
All our beardie creations are uniquely made and one of a kind. Each one is a little different from the next one. The profits from these sales go to help Sarah's Bearded Dragon Rescue. We also often send money and products to other national rescues to help with their beardie (and reptile) rescues.
We would love to have photos of your Beardies in their costumes or snuggling in the blankets. We'll post them (or you post them) on our Pampered Beardies Facebook page, and Instagram!
